First, let me ask you a question. How would YOU like to win $1,000 in supplies for your school?! What about $750 or $500?! ... and what if I tell you that that's on top of working to get your project funded. How does that make you feel? I don't know about you, but that's pretty stinkin' exciting!
You know I like to guess what you're thinking, so let me guess:
- "My school will never win!"
- "I don't have the time to earn supplies for my entire school, I'm too busy worrying about my own classroom!"
All right, all right, I know, I know. This time of year is so busy for us. Personally, I spent 25+ hours in my classroom last week adjusting furniture, putting up bulletin boards, making copies, cutting out lamination... I mean, you name it... I was working on it, so I know that you are too.
And I know that you're also working on a supplies list to set out for parents to *hopefully* donate supplies for your classroom. I mean, our pencil and paper inventory is pretty much depleted by Halloween, so we always need to plan ahead.
But it's okay! Because Pledgecents is here to make it super simple and easy for us to get supplies for our classrooms and our schools. It doesn't matter if you work for a super wealthy district or in a low income charter school, here's what the top prize could get for you:
You can buy over 1,900 Ticonderoga pencils, 402 spiral composition notebooks, and 540 glue sticks... with a couple bucks to spare!
Now your school won't get those exact supplies. Your school will work with together with Pledgecents and they will send your school an amazing gift box of supplies. Are you hooked yet?
You will need to start by creating a project between today and September 30, 2015 (when the contest ends). When given the option to "enter the contest", click on the button to enter. PST! Don't wait too long... you'll want to make sure you start as soon as possible so you can earn points!
There are 4 simple ways for your school to earn points for the contest:
- for every dollar invested: 5 points
- for every Facebook share: 10 point
- for every cause created: 20 points
- for every cause that reaches its goal: 100 points
Every night the scoreboard gets updated to reflect any points earned from that day. So that means when you're having your nightly Facebook or Instagram scrolling sesh (no judgement!), don't forget to check how your school is ranking up in the contest!
Winners will be contacted by Pledgecents via email and telephone on or around October 9, 2015. Make sure that the contact information in your profile is up-to-date so you can claim your awesome prize!
I'm just kidding, there's no cake... *whomp whomp* But there is a huge incentive for you! For any cause that is submitted and goes live within the next 4 days (by August 14, 2015), Pledgecents will match the first $100! In other words, that means you get $200 for your classroom just like that! The only catch is that your project needs to be valued at $800 or more.
What questions do you still have about Pledgecents or about the #SchoolSupplied contest?
