Easy + Healthy Teacher Snacks

We all know how little time there can be during the school day to eat. I'm pretty sure all of us teachers were born with a know-how on how to eat our lunch while copying papers, or grading, or covering lunch duty. It's like a second nature to us.

But there are, however, those days when eating on the go just doens't seem like an option. There's a line for the microwave or you ran late this morning so you couldn't pack a lunch. It happens to all of us.

So I've decided to share a few of my favorite healthy snacks, inspired by Pinterest.
I love the taste of raspberries, but eating them plain just doesn't do it for me. With this snack, there are two ways that you can spice it up: (1) stuff them with chocolate chips, or (2) fill them with your favorite flavor of yogurt. I like mine with plain vanilla yogurt. Mmmm!

I am one of those people who has to be in the mood to just scarf down a banana. I love them, just not all the time... unless peanut butter is involved. These cute little PB-naner sandwich bites are great for when you have bananas that are getting ready to go bad. Slice them up, put some PB in the middle and freeze them. Yep, freeze them! Of course you'll have to make these ahead of time, but they're super easy to just grab and go on a morning when you're running late!

Celery is one of my least favorite veggies... unless there's peanut butter (I may or may not have a thing for peanut butter)! I put honey roasted peanuts on top of my PB celery sticks, instead of almonds (I had this incident where I bought unsweetened Silk milk for my milkshakes and I haven't been able to eat an almond since).

This last one is a complete game changer. All of your focus should be on that creamy, peanut butter-y fruit dip in the center of that plate. It is seriously to. die. for. All you need is vanilla Greek yogurt, peanut butter, maple syrup and a little cinnamon. Completely delicious. Click the credit link under the picture for the recipe and enjoy!

What are your favorite healthy snacks?

  1. I am so jealous of all your delicious nutty snacks! I am from Ontario and most schools, if not all, are nut-free. I am a fan of "healthy" muffins for on-the-go snacks at school. Carrot, zucchini and banana are my favourite. I bake in bulk, keep them in the freezer and take a few out at a time. Thanks for such a fun post! :) This is definitely a "teacher problem" haha.
